Cleaning An In-The-Ear Hearing Aid
- Wipe off the entire hearing aid using a soft cloth
- Using the brush that was provided with your hearing aid, brush off the microphones and the receiver
- The wax guard should also be changed once per month
- Each manufacturer has different wax guards
- If your wax guard has an orange stick, screw the stick into the existing wax guard until it is flush with the end of the hearing aid and pull to remove it
- If your wax guard has a black stick, push the black end of the stick into the old filter and pull it out
- To insert the new wax guard, simply push the new wax guard into the end of the hearing aid and remove the stick
Cleaning A Receiver In The Canal Hearing Aid
- Wipe off the entire hearing aid with a soft cloth
- Using the brush that was provided with your hearing aid, brush off the microphones
- Once a month the wax guard should also be changed
- Each manufacturer has different wax guards
- Remove the soft rubber dome from the end of the receiver
- If your wax guard has an orange stick, screw the stick into the existing wax guard until it is flush with the end of the hearing aid and pull to remove it
- If your wax guard has a black stick, push the black end of the stick into the old filter and pull it out
- To insert the new wax guard, simply push the new wax guard into the end of the receiver and remove the stick
- Place the dome back on the receiver by pushing the sleeve onto the receiver
