The best way to treat your allergy symptoms is to schedule allergy testing to determine their exact cause.
Skin Prick Testing
Skin tests are the preferred allergy test because they are safe, affordable and they provide accurate results. The specific method of skin testing performed in our office is MQT (Modified Quantitative Testing), which is endorsed by the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy (AAOA). We test for the most common inhalant allergies found in our area. We do not test for food allergies.
I’m grateful for the many opportunities for growth in my 20 years with SCENT. I value the organization’s independence, which fosters an environment of idea-sharing. Although much has changed over 20 years, the clinic’s foundation of providing exceptional care to our patients and a caring, family-like environment for our employees has stood the test of time.

What Should I Expect With Allergy Testing?
Your allergy test will take about one and a half hours to complete. We will be able to tell you at the conclusion of the test what, if anything, you are allergic to and how severe your allergy is. The test itself is done on your arm using small gauge needles. The needles go just under the skin’s top layer and are considered relatively painless.
